Service projects anyone?

The Stake's service project for the National Service Day will be the completion of it's housing project with Gawad Kalinga at Tulungatong, Zamboanga City. Together with LDS Humanitarian Services who graciously sponsored the materials for the duplex, members from the various wards and branches of the Stake have scheduled pre-work on the project which is currently running from April 12-16. The final work on this single duplex will be on April 23 which is the National Service Day for the Church in the entire Philippines.

The National Service day was started in 2009 in anticipation of the Church's Jubilee year and hopes to donate 2 Million man hours for various service projects all over the Philippine archipelago.

The Church will be joined by the Silsillah Movement who will provide additional manpower in completing the duplex by April 23. Other civic organizations are also invited to join this event. You can email ldsjubilee@gmail.com for more information.
